Want to get more into reading? Looking to mix with people with similar interests to you? Shelf Interest (our book club) offers the opportunity to connect with others through a love for reading stories from authors within the African Diaspora.
Our Launch Event is a lunch mingle centred around our first book of the month, "Edge of Here" by Kelechi Okafor.
Kelechi Okafor is a multi-talented writer, actress, social commentator, presenter and author! Known for her punches of truth, quick-wit and strong sense of justice, Kelechi hosts the popular podcast: "Say Your Mind". With her debut book "Edge of Here", she lets us into her inner world and presents a collection of fictional stories based on themes around love, race, mental health, womanhood and exploitation, presented through a dystopian lens.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ehime Ora will no longer be in attendance of this event as previously promoted.
